With deep fake tech getting so much better and easily accessible artists might as well just release their acapellas and such.
I’m much more worried about what labels are gonna try to do with AI than fans, cuz the fan community produces some good or at least funny stuff. ---’s label already tried to make new songs using AI which is kind of a scary thought…as AI gets better and better (which isn’t very far off), I guarantee you we’re gonna see labels buying the rights to an artist’s AI when they retire and then the label will pump out piece of s--- AI albums indefinitelyOrdinary Joel, asvdawg and Reed Richards like this. -

Every review about Stem player I watched starts with "OMG, that skin-like texture, it's so weird touching this stuff, it's so soft..." lol...
Joke aside, Stem player is not such a joke... It's pretty basic mixing device, but the thing is, it seems to do a fine job at it, and there are no similar products in that small format able to isolate stems at that quality...As I've seen it it's able to quality remix any song, not just Donda's... Only thing, I am not sure are you able to export your work of it. You can try something similar with apps, but that wouldn't be even close.
I mean it's not a revolutionary product, definitely not worth 200$, it has pretty basic storage which is somewhat user accessible. But it mixes good that's for sure.Ordinary Joel, DKC and pluto✰ like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

I'm so confused by this though when I checked the site it looked like it was all still for Donda 1. Is he legitimately implying that people are gonna need to buy a stem player for this??? If so that's perhaps the dumbest decision he has ever made (which is saying a lot). If he's just making it exclusively available for download on his site and the stem player is optional it's whatever—it would be cool if he did like Radiohead did for In Rainbows and make it pay what you want but I doubt it lol. He's gonna make most of his money from merch anyway.
In theory I agree with kanye that streaming is overall bad for both fans and the artist (and the industry in general), however...making people buy a stem player is very much not the way to do it, to put it lightly. The allure of streaming is accessibility and this is one of the least accessible ways to release music I can think of.Ordinary Joel, pluto✰ and Lil Squeed like this.
