I've always been a bit mixed on this record. Some great tracks on it, but it pales when compared to a lot of the Berlin Trilogy. I'd rank it about the same as Lodger

Not too familiar with Soviet rock, but this is an incredible album. I do wish that I could actually understand what Tsoi is singing about though.

(Yes, this is my favorite UTOPIA cover). Still a great record, near perfect album from Travis if it wasn't for "K-POP", such a useless and generic track. "TILL FURTHER NOTICE" is underrated!!!!

Ik this is near blasphemous in rock circles, but I've never really enjoyed this record much. Def their most experimental work, but I don't like at as much as the rest of their discography. "Lady Godiva's Operation" might be my favorite, and even then I'm not over the moon with it either.

Prior to this, the only Gucci album I had checked out was Trap House, which was fire. This record though.... d---. f---ing incredible. Not a big fan of tracks 9 & 10, but the rest is trap perfection.

The "lost" VU album ooohh. It's decent. Its basically a lesser version of their self titled. It was cool to see "Andy's Chest" here though. "One of These Days" is a b-----r

I've always seen this album as a bit lesser than its predecessor. I still hold that opinion, but I enjoyed it a lot more this time around. Gorgeous cover

"Filth" is a fitting title. Its raw, loud, dark, and incredible. Amazing album for an intense cardio session

    78. Kanye West - BULLY [V1] (2025) [March 19th, 2025]

This is a very odd album to evaluate since its basically a demo album. Might log this again when the finished version drops. My biggest issue has to be the vocals. I think that AI works well when its used to either restore low quality vocals (like that final Beatles song) or if its used to further a concept (like the Slim voice on TDOSS). Kanye claimed that the AI was going to be used "Artistically", but I think that just putting a filter over someone else's reference vocals is pretty lazy. If he really does rerecord these tracks though, I feel like this could be incredible. Outside of 808s, there really hasn't been a primarily melodic record from Ye and if done well, I could see this ending up as his best album since Donda.

The highlight for me is definitely the production. Such a dark, sad atmosphere (s/o to Allis). This production outdoes the majority of the work from V1 and V2. Highlights for me have to be SHOWTIME and this other track that I cant find the name of (The tracklisting is so odd, I might be calling these tracks by the wrong names). Kanye's comments post 2022 have become increasingly concerning, but thankfully there really isn't much of that energy on here. I admit that I might be biased, as I'm a huge Ye fan (my name is literally @Yeez ), but I feel like this album has lots of potential. My biggest fear is that he'll go out of his way to turn this record into a full-on Nazi project like he claims he's going to.

As it stands though, this version of Bully kind of reflects how I feel about current Ye as a whole: glimmers of greatness muddled by strange creative choices and unchecked mental illness. I know saying this about a literal Billionaire might be silly, but I legitimately hope he gets help. Its saddening to see such a creative mind be self-sabotaged like this.

Although SAWII is my favorite RDJ album, ICBYD is a great second for me. The title perfectly reflects the music that make sup this record: Harsh, Abrasive, and at times, even beautiful. Incredible record

    80. David Lynch - Eraserhead (Soundtrack) (1982) [March 20th, 2025]

A Lynch soundtrack pre-Badalamenti. It's a good example of how oppressive Dark Ambient can be, but I can't say I'll be revisiting this too much,

Almost forgot to log this one lmao. It's fine. Way too long though. Weaker than its predecessor, although its 2nd disc is pretty cool
