Record was pretty d--- good. I'd put it above Protection but under Mezzanine.

My first non-Aphex Twin RDJ Record. Pretty good, although it does feel like a lesser SAW 85-92 at some points.

Very good record. Although I think Voodoo had higher highs, I might prefer this album as a whole.

(idk why the cover is deep fried). Nearly amazing record, but i feel like the skits drag it down. I usually enjoy skits, but some of them got pretty boring after a while. Like, I don't need to hear Funk FLex on this for 2 minutes lmao.

Absolutely stellar record. Scarface's best (I haven't heard The Fix yet, but that's coming soon), and one of the best rap albums ever. f---ing incredible

The following albums have been suggested ITT and I'm planning to check them out in the near future:
Binary Star - Masters of the Universe (Allis)
An Atmosphere record, but most likely God Loves Ugly (Allis)
Lou Reed - Legendary Hearts (Jimmy Jazz)

Pretty good record. Its a treat to hear how different D'Angelo sounds here compared to his first two albums. Hope that he drops something soon

I'm really only familiar with Waits' post Swordfishtrombones work which is very experimental (Bone Machine is a 10), so this was a nice surprise. Very good record, not usually what I expect from Waits, but still great.

    94. Tyler, the Creator - CHROMAKOPIA (2024) [March 24th, 2025]

Oh Boy. I've been very vocal about being mixed on this record. I revisited all of Tyler's previous records, and I still greatly enjoyed them like I have in the past (except for Goblin, its basically just an inferior version of b------) I will say that I enjoyed it much more this time around. But there are still a few tracks that I still can't get into, with the main offenders being Judge Judy and Tomorrow. I think Tyler's delivery has also gotten weirdly bland over the years. Like his voice seems much more energetic on his previous records, while I feel that his flow on most of CHROMAKOPIA gets a bit repetitive. Like I said though, I enjoyed it much more this time. Maybe next time I'll find it incredible, but for now I'd rank it in the bottom half of Tyler's discog, above Goblin and maybe Cherry Bomb

Sidenote: I can't stand Doechii or Teezo Touchdown for some reason. I really can't explain why. Like that Doechii song that's trending on TikTok rn is atrocious for me dear god.

Very impressive man, for real. This thread is giving me inspiration to start something similar but it would pretty much just be me writing about albums I like. So don’t mind me ripping your format off lmao.
