    these are a few instances of the corny/generic song writing im talking about. Its writing like this that's repeated throughout the album and it really drags the album down as a whole.

    It's more so the writing itself than the themes but yes some of those themes have been used before. Refer to my post to Packmam if you want to see what generic/corny writing im talking about.

    I never said every bar written on this album was generic, I said there are a lot of instances of generic song writing. Just the way Yelawolf approaches topics like women, betrayal, love etc. doesn't always come off very genuine. A lot of that has to do with his writing being blunt and straight forward most of the time. Like those lines you quoted are more the exception, we both know Yelawolf isn't known for his thought provoking lyrics, he's not a Slug or Kendrick Lamar type artist when it comes to song writing. He's blunt and straight forward with a vast majority of his music and that has its pros and cons.

    @Wolf I'd love to hear you post more examples just based upon how great the aboveitalicized was.. the album has only been out 13 days and I've just been vibing to it, not yet able to pay attention to how detailed some of the lyrics are like you said there cheahcheahchaeh
