Yelawolf is leaps and bounds ahead of anyone on Slaughterhouse, considering they're mostly just lyrical miracle, one-dimensional rappers, whereas Yela is a complete musical tour de force, and has shown far more flexibility as an artist than anyone that has ever been signed to Shady. Even if all of that weren't the case, has proven multiple times that he can outrap all of them, with far more charisma and broader topics. He's also a better musician than current Eminem, in my own unpopular opinion.

The main reason for these misconceptions is because people don't check out any of his music besides his two Shady releases, and it's almost impossible to grasp the concept of Yelawolf by doing just that.

I'm hoping for a nice late October release.

-They already have 4 music videos shot (shooting a 5th one currently)
-Yelawolf already approved the lyrics for the booklet
-The cover was already shot
-The tour for the album starts in October.

If they continue the hype machine rolling, and dropping a single every other week, the it seems likely.

I'm sorry but that's a very ignorant, close-minded comment. If you were closely following Yelawolf, you would understand why the album was constantly pushed back. He was looking to find his signature sound and kept refining the project to how he wanted it. It wasn't label, it wasn't Shady, it was him.
Now that he has formed his lane, the music he's making comes out far more fluently. There's no need to go back and perfect his sound.

Also, this Jim Jonsin side project is a stand-alone album, so you don't need to worry about label interference. Every project he's made (besides Love Story) has come out exactly when he said it would. Trunk Muzik Returns, Black Fall, Psycho White, etc.

But you wouldn't know about that because it's obvious by your name that you perk your ears whenever Shady Records is mentioned and ignore everything else.

Also, @YelaSXN Trial By Fire comes out this fall. He turned it in to the label already and it's currently being mixed. He's returning to Nashville soon to s---t the first 3 videos.


No word on the Jonsin project, but I'm assuming it'll come out before TBF.
