Nov 3, 2017 7k= 7000$ for him in his pocket before tax. theres no way he hasnt spend more than 7k on production and mixing for the album. yelawolf is going to lose money with this album in the end, its really really sad. I was really hyped for him when he got signed( I really like pop the trunk before being signed ot shady) radioactive was a letdown(the first single gangsta of love that leaked online prior and was scrap was the best song of this album and was a perfect single to introduce yela to stans).if radioactive album sounded like that first single it would have been way better imo. love story was different and really good, got really impressed by that album and still songs that are listenable/enjoyable today. trial by fire is complete crap im sorry to say, its not even real hip hop at all anymore.
Nov 3, 2017 This is the main reason sales are so poor and something I tried alluding to in an earlier post. I do not f--- with this type of music at all. Apparently the majority of people who supported him in the past feel the same way. Also, no eminem feature really hurt him in terms of appealing to a wider audience. The Yelawolf signing to shady records never felt right to me from the jump. I always thought it was a really weird signing. I certainly won't miss him lol.
Nov 3, 2017 Gangsta of love was f---ing awesome. It reminds me of the quirkiness of Em's first single releases... I mean how did they f--- this guy's career up!? This song, No hands, Daddy's Lambo were all great tracks that surpassed Radioactive. So sad.
Nov 3, 2017 Good point. I definitely f----- with some of his earlier stuff. Sure we can blame Shady Records for not intervening and telling him he is f---ing up musically by going in this direction. But they're known for letting artists make whatever music they want. They don't put much pressure on an artist to conform. Yelawolf even said as much in an interview. The biggest f--- up in all of this was yelawolf himself. I'm speaking in terms of sales. If Yelawolf doesn't care all that much about sales, and he's really happy and proud with TBF, then he didn't f--- up. I mean, he self produced the entire album and made the music he wanted to make. He might not care at all about sales. Sure this may lead to him getting dropped, but that might not even bother him either. With low album sales, the independent route can be profitable if done right since he can control and own more of his product.

Nov 6, 2017 Yeah but you're forgetting - shows $$, individual song downloads, probably future licensing here and there. But yeah this album was a fkn flop. I feel bad for Yela only because compares to a lot of a---... he's very talented and this still contains a great amount of effort and class compred to a lot of trash which sells. But as a fan... it was pretty a---. Love Story was huge promise but TBF was just a snoozefest.
