Sep 20, 2016 Arena Rap (and Stereo, which is overlooked far too often) was basically the seed that started Yelawolf and the country/rap fusion that he's trying to create. People act like Love Story was some sort of revelation in his artistic style, but with Arena Rap, he was basically pushing the same concept, if not a lot more raw and unfiltered. The only difference is that he didn't have the platform in order to make any sort of statement, so he had to basically dumb himself down, and stayed in the lane of a generic southern rapper with Trunk Muzik in order to blow up and have the fanbase necessary in order to make the music he truly wanted to make.
Sep 20, 2016 I totally agree, it feels like the demos that never made love story in a strange sense, Candy and Dreams is probably one of my favourite Yelawolf songs of all time. Stereo hasn't had as much play as Arena Rap but the samples of that tape are godly, Run Johnny is probably my favourite off Stereo, its quite sad that Yela couldn't make an impact with Stereo and Arena Rap to be honest, imagine where he'd be now if he had. EDIT: 'Rich like me' samples the same song as Eminems 'Rhyme or Reason' and to all those who haven't heard it, make it a priority to do so.

Sep 20, 2016 Yeah, he'll probably throw it into his vault now that they broke up. I doubt he'll change the name to "Hello Jackie" now that he's dating that girl. Will be surprised if he decides to keep it.
