I think the biggest problem for eminem is subject matter and his age. He can't be the angry young man and he can't keep recycling the same material and i think revival is his attempt at finding something he can comment on genuinely as a grown man? Strange choice of singles though so far although i have to say at least in the UK i think the Ed Sheeran feature will boost sales a lot!

They don't want em rapping weird and want him to be self aware. - He tackles that on Walk on Water But oh wait there's a pop singer on the hook, we can't have that! - He gives us a song with hardhitting beats and flow and even a great subject matter on Untouchable But-but it's whack cause ??? Marshall can't please anyone anymore. f--- it dude. I'm still hyped. I feel like there's gonna be some return to form on this new album.
Dec 8, 2017 Put me in that group of people that believe its complete trash, and that he should retire. We have a song that tries to spread a message whilst introducing absolutely nothing new to the topic (classic political eminem), and a song crying about the pressure hes under (classic self loathing eminem). Most importantly: they both sound like s---. 0 f---ing replay value. I miss the Relapse days where he said s--- that was just as unimportant, but sounded pleasing when he said it. Never thought id feel this way about him, but he needs to hang it the f--- up. He’s earned the animosity his once-fans have towards him.

Dec 9, 2017 Fam, THE SONG IS NOT PLEASING TO THE EAR, IT SOUNDS HORRIBLE SONICALLY. No one is attacking the message. We are saying the song sounds terrible. His voice wasn't mixed right (been like this since after relapse) and the beat is just terrible to make things worst. U wanna know why em isn't getting better? Just imagine if fans are reaching like this imagine the people around him? They are feeding him the same lies
Dec 9, 2017 I’ll yell you why, is because he has put out so much greatness that you can only hope for that next 10/10 classic. I will always listen to new Em songs, hoping for a Going Through Changes or Deja Vu. That’s coming from someone who thinks these songs blow. I recognize they are different and people like and I respect that, they just have absolutely no replay value for me.
Dec 9, 2017 To put it in perspective, people hated the f--- outta Relapse. Now people want nothing but Relapse (without the accents). The criticism isn't unfounded, but some of it is silly. I remember when people were upset about Em's old KMart punchlines and were so pissed off, they put his albums in the toilet and hashtagged #FansDown to start some viral campaign. This has been going on for almost 8 years now, this isn't anything new. They'll say Em fell off and be right back for the next project. They always are.
