    I think my issue is that HNDRXX is pretty straightforward, like I wasn't discovering new things with each listen, while something like this, or any Thug project from the last few years, cannot be fully processed no matter how many times I listen to it, the layering is just insane in his work. That's what sets him apart from all other hip hop artists aside from Kanye. I think he's the best working musician along with Grimes & Joanna Newsom :purpleheart:

    It's a thread for an album by a popular rapper that comes out on friday, of course there are tons of people liking posts. Just because they disagree with you and agree with me doesn't mean they're circle jerking. Have you ever thought that maybe it means you're wrong?

    I"m not attacking you, I'm explaining why the term 'mumble rap' is stupid because it groups together dissimilar artists over a disparaging term.

    Drake was never grouped as "conscious rap" lol. And "conscious rap" is an equally stupid "genre" and term used by people who don't know what they're talking about.

    It's not an opinion, mumble rap really isn't a genre ffs:whytf::whytf::whytf:

    Also never heard someone in real life who actually listens to artists like Young Thug or Future refer to them as "mumble rappers" its always old heads who can't name five of their songs and claim that they cant understand anything they are saying.

    The term "mumble rap" is so insulting and ignorant how can you not understand this wtf :whytf:
