SMH. So you think Future was the best rapper alive? Only to be overtaken by Young Thug?

I'll check them out, but I seriously seriously doubt that they would change my mind at all. Kanye, Cole, Kendrick, and Drake are all miles better than this guy.

kanye hasnt dropped an album since 2013

cole last three albums all average to being marginally better than the last, and yeah obviously Kendrick is great.

all 3 projects i named dropped within the last half year by future. i like the last 2 the most, and they both came out this year.

    i review beast mode

Okay, but it's not like Kanye stopped dropping music after Yeezus. I disagree with Cole's project's all being average. And you aren't the best rapper alive just because you have a lot of material out there, just ask Wayne about that.

I only listened to Beast Mode, couldn't find the other 2 songs on youtube. I only made it through a minute. I'm just not a fan at all and don't understand the hype, let alone somebody thinking he can possibly be the best rapper alive.

where do we go from here? you listened to a minute of one of the albums form the guy we were trying to discuss

all thats left now is to pick apart semantics like the fact that i was saying all 3 of projects are great, not that it was about quantity over quality, and that i was referring to Yeezus not MBDTF, and I said Cole's projects barely improve from each one to the next not that they're bad, etc.

all of thats off topic now becuase you refuse to entertain the topic but want to have an opinion on it lol

While it's technically rap I don't think that the "Trap" style of Future and other artists should be compared with guys like Kendrick, Drake, Cole, etc.

Most of those artists focus a lot more in "bangers" or chill type of music. They don't care about the lyrical content. I don't say it's a bad thing, just that they have different ways to approach the genre.

I don't agree at all of a "Trap" style of artist being the best rapper alive but if you listen to those dudes with another perspective they can be pretty enjoyable (Not in my particular case doe)

Well my main issue was with the post I quoted where you called him the best rapper alive. Didn't see one where you were talking about projects or anything. And yes I was talking about Yeezus, not MBDTF. I never said you said Cole's projects were bad, just stated that I disagreed with you when you called them average.

But anyway, I don't need to listen to an artists entire discography to figure out if I like them or not. Based off the now 6 songs I've heard from him, I can pretty definiteivly say he's not the best rapper alive.

once again didnt call them average. i like cole world. i liked born sinner, i like fhd. none of them are that much better than the other. and only in ultimately negligible ways. like the range for this albums is like from a 7.5-8.0.

but drake does a lot of mimicking of this sound you're trying to describe.

why do you say thug doesnt care about "lyrical content" ?

Drake makes bangers but I wouldn't call them "Trap" and it got definitely a different sound and style in general imo

And well you already know what I got to say about Thug's lyrical content so I woud leave it here lol

the influences drake's borrowed are all derivative of the sound you're trying to shoehorn as "trap"

know yourself, 6 man, 6 god etc

and thug has plenty of songs where he literally sings out the names of his children, talks about their guardians/maids while he's on tour, how he's upset at that etc

it really isnt anyones fault but you're own for ignoring all that

sentence was "all average to being marginally better that he last" meaning the worst one is average, the best one is marginally better

    but i get your point.

you really think his last three albums are anything to write home about? maybe FHD

I really liked all 3. For me it would be FHD, CWSS, then BS. But I did think his album's and career would have been much better after The Warm Up & FNL. Disappointed isn't the word I would use, I just expected more.
