Exactly. My cousins in ATL play thug all the time especially in the whip and its cool. But they are fully aware of what he means as an artist. He's just fun music to them. He might be more to others but the majority of people I know view as a guy to get hype/dance to.

Its not necessarily a bad thing I just hate when thug fans act like there's something so much deeper to this guy that we don't understand.

No, because I've heard roughly 200 thug songs before becoming adamant in my assertions, and you're literally coming from the opposite end of the spectrum repeating the same things over and over again without defending it (and I don't blame u tho, because it's hard to defend your opinions when you have such limited source material to reference...but the onus is on u to craft an arguement against him. I've done my part)

@Narsh anytime someone has said they dont like thugger you have jumped all over them saying "OMG you gotta listen to his whole discography to understand him as an artist" Now if you go to the Eminem section and read when someone says EM sucks they freak out and go "OMG you gotta listen to his whole discography to understand him as an artist" those are 1 of many similarities between being a Stan and being a Narsh

So according to people that think I'm a Stan, it's acceptable to dismiss an artist with one of the biggest discog in hip hop off of a handful of songs but it's completely preposterous for me to try and trying and suggest more tracks or projects?

It's literally apples and oranges when one artist ACTUALLY has HUNDREDS of songs that are hard to shift thru and I'm trying to help people make their way thru them instead of giving up prematurely--- u know what?

Dope a--- production, dope a--- flow and melodies as usual.

But again this is the problem with thug. He hasn't nothing to say really. Like he doesn't even bring a new perspective or gem to a song about love. The lyrics are so generic all the time. A song like this would be fine if taken into the context with other songs with unique meaning.

The guy has a dope aesthetic but thats it. He's all about the character/image. I never feel like I get the real him unless its a song like O.D. Songs where he's talking about family issues and real s--- are few and far between. All these crticisms doesn't mean that he's not dope at what he does but to take over the game you gotta have way more to you as an artist than Young Thug imo.
