Or maybe he would win because he would drop great diss records? I said it earlier, but that popularity argument is completely leaving out the fact that he destroyed Meek with MUSIC. In 5 years when we talk about that beef, the 1st things we'll say is "trigger fingers turn to twitter fingers" and "gettin' bodied by a singin' n-----". Not saying Thug wouldn't drop some good material, but I think people are selling Drake short on what he did to Meek.

Bruh if u look at any of my posts from the drake vs meek s--- I'm 100% on ur side lol it was his entire defense, the warning shot, back2back, ovofest, and everything. It was flawless

But thug makes better music than drake and meek without question..would that translate well into tangible diss tracks for public consumption? Most likely not, which is why I think drake will win

Drakes more accessible, AND is more popular. BOTH aspects would play into him being declared winner (probably before the beef even starts like many people are doing in this thread)

I definitely agree the popularity plays a part in it, but I disagree big time to the notion that he no question makes better music thank Drake. Drake's been making great music for 6+ years, Thug's been in his prime for roughly a year or 2.

Why are u comparing drakes entire career to thugs "prime?"

The entire last 6 years for drake have NOT all been at the same level. TC/leading up to NWTS was the peak of quality probably

If u graphed it there would be a clear upward trend till TC and a pretty obviously downward trend for the last 2 years..

While for thug it's a pretty blatant upward trend from 2011 till now (4 years, not 2)

And thug right now > drake for sure

We can agree to disagree because obviously we both have our stances on this. I'm in the camp that thinks NWTS isn't much of a drop off from TC, so there may be a decline but only because TC is so good. I don't wanna say IYRTITL is underrated because it just went platinum, but it's a really good project, and probably sits at #3 in his discography.

Well Thank me later is overrated. So far gone is overrated. And now nwts and iyrt are being overrated as well

Take care is still the sole defensible project of notable quality in drakes discog.

That doesn't mean TML, SFG, NWTS and IYRT aren't good..but I don't see people being nearly as critical of these projects as they could be

All this to say that saying IYRT is #3 in his discog isn't that great of a claim

TML & SFG are not overrated, idk who you've been talking to. A large majority of fans regard those albums very fairly. If anything, TML has gone under the radar to the point where it's now become underrated. I'll stand by the fact that I think NWTS is not far off from the quality of TC. Tuscan Leather, Furthest Thing, Wu-Tang Forever, From Time, Hold On, Too Much, Pound Cake are all at or near the level of the best songs on TC.

None of the songs you listed are as good as crew love, marvins room, look what you've done, lord knows, underground kings, shot for me, etc etc lol

Also, thank me later hasn't become "underrated" just because we're further removed from its origins and people talk about it less lmao..people talk about it less nowadays because it's not that good lol

It's been over a decade since TCD came out -- no ones under or overrating it. It's rated exactly how it should be -- a classic

When people try to defend how "great" drakes discog is I just think of Kanye..because there's no comparison to be made between drakes first 5 projects and kanyes...

A lot of drakes projects haven't, and won't, hold up down the line

It took me a few years to get into thank me lighter and so far gone. I still think they're alright/have great moments for sure

So why has it become overrated if people aren't talking about it as much? It's comfortably his 5th best project. What does Kanye's discography have to do with this? He has one of the best catalogs of all time. It's a weak argument to try and help your case that Drake's isn't as good or that his stuff won't hold up. His career is at least 10 years away from being finished. I could literally use the same argument against Thug and use Wayne as an example. I've seen you defend the fact that just because Thug's discography isn't as strong as Wayne's, it's not fair to compare since Thug is still in his prime, so it's a little hypocritical to try and use it here against Drake, don't you think?
