Feb 5, 2016 Something about this is hitting me way different than the others. I don't know if it's Lyor and the lames at 300 marketing, or Alex not being the one to sequence it, or the fact that they're trying to blow him up with this one, but this collection of songs is... underwhelming. As f---. On first listen. But unlike most of these peasants, white jesus isn't controlled by first impressions. He's learned to let himself digest things first. So, I'll definitely be listening a lot more before I write it off. But man... most of these are exactly the type of songs I don't like from Thug.
Feb 5, 2016 a good variety of "types" of songs on this project as I hear it. What types of Thug songs do you like?
Feb 5, 2016 Nearly all of them, I thought. I'll post some more coherent/thought out comments after I can give this a few good spins. My attention has been all over the place this morning. That plays a part too.
Feb 5, 2016 I listened 3 times now, it's good but falls short of great. @furface My Boys was my favorite song when I listened lol, interesting that you didn't like it much.
Feb 5, 2016 This is not as good as Purple Reign either, I feel like I should throw that out there. But to be fair I've only listened 3 times, so that could change.
Feb 5, 2016 this is great. people are sleeping on this big time atm. hopefully ya'll turn around to it soon. the features all do great.
Feb 5, 2016 bout to play this for the 3rd time. I still don't know how to feel bout this, hopefully it will click
Feb 5, 2016 Were all of them capable? Yeah. Great? No. tbh I was expecting Thug to outshine Future today but it's looking like the album with a recovery-era eminem punchline for a name has a good chance of being better.
Feb 5, 2016 This is available free for stream on Datpiff and LiveMixtapes, for anyone who wants to listen.
Feb 5, 2016 I think that's part of it for me. I HATE features. I don't want to hear Thug's friends and sisters rap.
Feb 5, 2016 Aside from the mixing (I'm starting to get over that tbh), THIS. Thug always features artists who, quite frankly, Idgaf about.
