Feb 6, 2016 Evol, production wise and content wise, is more of the same. But future switches it up delivery and flow wise more than usual. I said he won yesterday, and I still agree, simply because hype wise etc he defintely came through. It wasnt like hype followed by purple reign which was lowkey. It was hype followed by a big, hype worthy, release. So good for him. It's defintely a great project. But in the grand scheme of things, I'm Up is going over everyone's heads.
Feb 6, 2016 Exactly like B6, two stand out tracks (f cancer and Hercules / check with that halftime) and as you listen more and more you realize how cohesive it is. The beat on for my people Trouble on my boys Only complaint is alex didnt mix this....it's the subtle nuances....Like on the riding hook, imagine if the adlibs were louder and more in your face? "pull up to the block and wet it up BLAT BLAT Pull up to your property, wet it up" BLAT BLAT Thug on the special hook King troup as a whole kinda reminds me of wana be me....fav song of ss1

Feb 6, 2016 I don't want say the same s--- here that I'll say in my review but f--- it: It's not that Alex didn't mix this its that its a different style entirely We were listening to 2014/213 thug all of 2015. We weren't ready to hear how he sounded in 2016 out of nowhere. A lot has changed sound wise that we initially tried to find excuses for (like Alex not mixing)

Feb 6, 2016 Ehh tbh I don't know really. Islah sounds more cohesive and sonically better but I'm also a big fan of thug's voice, his melodies and and his flows so yeah I can't really put forward an objective opinion on this except that I f--- with I'm up more
