Feb 5, 2016 I enjoy this more than Purple Reign which is still good in it's own right but this one feels more diverse and fresh. Still I'd say I was more blown away from SS1 & SS2 than I'm Up on the first few listens.

Feb 5, 2016 This was the biggest disappointment of 2016 so far... really upset with this one. The features are weak and it doesn't feel finished. SS3 gonna be a classic though.
Feb 5, 2016 I've listened through it once more, and while I've realized the mixing is not as bad as I initially perceived it, I still hold to what my problem was with it to begin with: They released a paid project, mixed worse than the prior free ones.
Feb 5, 2016 So after a more intimate listening session with head phones I find ralos verse and voice to be slightly less atrocious. Also after eating and sleeping for a few hours my mood improved enough to enjoy the tape a little more than previously stated; however, I still feel slightly underwhelmed with the amounts of features for such a short project and the fact that most of the feats don't seem to add anything special. They're just there for me, personally. I really love f--- Cancer, Hercules and King Troup. I'm sure there's another 1 or 2 that'll grow on me but I haven't really sat with it long enough to determine that. I kind of feel that this was rushed being that nothing really jumps out at me. It's the first time I listen to him and I'm like "ok cool story bro"

Thug basically just said on jerika's periscope that 300 made him do this release or something...he was on the phone with some idk who but he mustve been close with him lmao cuz the guy on the phone sounded legit like half of u on here saying s--- like "yeah man the projects cool, its hard but it aint no slime season 3 u heard?? we still need that slime season 3" lmao poor thug he's probably hearing that s--- from everyone i think the problem is a lot of weren't ready for this sound (especially when its not mixed as well as we're used to etc). this is some of thugs most recent material. im sure if they let us sit with it people would come around but i think they really are gonna drop ss3 very very soon.
Feb 5, 2016 My first 2 listens were not good at all and now that I know that the mixing isn't great I can see why I initially thought it sounded like s--- through my phone. I HATED it lol. I don't mind the sound change BUT he could have made it a much smoother transition over a longer project maybe. I don't particularly like sudden style changes every couple months, makes me feel like there's no direction and you're just trying to see what sticks instead of convincing me you're confident in your own skin
Feb 5, 2016 yeah i feel you man. just know the best of the best is still yet to come King TROUP and Hercules are up there with anything he's ever done tho hercules is early 2015 tho so its a different "era" (this dude switches up styles every like 5 months lol) and its mixed by alex the great king troup features the saddest 10 seconds of any thug song ever
