Jun 23, 2017 I don't get why you keep tagging me... I didn't even get a noti for this one i just saw it
Jun 23, 2017 Can't agree with this, seeing as Pac got better from album to album. You're right about Young Thug, but listen to 2Pacalypse Now then listen to All Eyez On Me. Like you said about Young Thug becoming two totally different rappers, the same can be said about 2Pac.
Jun 23, 2017 its difficult to compare rappers because many of them have totally different styles. its like trying to compare apples to oranges but even if you ignore that, i think its pretty clear that tupac was one of the few rappers who received clear-cut praise for his work. young thug is polarizing.
Jun 23, 2017 So I am old enough to remember when, like, Changes came out... but as a kid, I definitely wasn't following pac's by-album progression. That said, it's pretty clear to me Pac > Thug... at least for the moment. Pac's career is one of those wild, legendary moments in music history -- and beyond that his influence is still reverberating over two decades after his death. That said, he's definitely captured in time. As you point out, it'd be interesting how an artist like him would exist within todays digital deconstructed, post R&B flavored rap world I also think we need to banish dusthead/dusty from debates like this. Arguments should stand or they shouldnt etc
