    Yeah, I'm 100% OK with that, which is why I respect that you gave it a try without talking s--- on it like a bunch of other posters in the thread.

    I only have a problem when people refuse to listen or paint this type of rap as somehow "sub-music" because it doesn't fit into the box they enjoy.

    I agree with you for the most part, but I think an important part of learning to enjoy these other artists is also appreciating their writing styles as valid. I get what you mean by "bars," but I think Thug is a great writer in his own right. It's just a different style of writing. Like no one reads Stephen King and judges it the same way as they judge Thomas Pynchon.

    It wasn't all that long ago Lil Wayne was considered a poor lyricist by many.

    This is beautiful from start to finish. Still appreciate slime language for what it is, but this right here. Jesus Thug truly the GOAT

    Shout out to @Charlie Work for terrible opinions on thug and @Sahara for that take that this sounds anything like any of the slime seasons

    could’ve done completely without icey, other than that, everything’s a keeper

    really happy with how well 6lack fit in..he has a shy personality irl. he always sounds really f---ing quiet and bland when i listen to him but he was in his bag here

    It can sound dissimilar to the Slime Season tapes without being a masterpiece. It's a good album. It's probably in the upper-middle of his discography in terms of quality.
