Sit with Im up for the week. there's no rush hahah. If you liked this, i think you'll love For My People, Family, and probably F Cancer/My Boy.

the main problem with people tryina check out thug at first is just skimming is music, assuming there's no real substance under the style.

but yeah, after that definitely listen to Barter 6, one of my favorite projects ever at this point. peep the sticked threads in this section (the "starter kit," compilation one, and song of the day one) for more tracks after that.

yeah haha for sure, i know you'll give it a real listen

essentially a majority of im up is just posse cuts but the thing with thug is he literally has HUNDREDS of songs in his vault. if you ask him, he'll say thousands (3000 to be exact). last year itself literally 80 of his songs leaked out of nowhere one day. the slime season mixtapes tried to use some of those leaks and give them official releases

all this to say that its hard to keep up with when he made certain songs and how his style is progressing etc...but what we do know is that when ss3 was supposed to drop in Feb, he instead decided to last minute switch and release material he had JUST made at the end of 2015. so, as far as i know, Im Up is the most current Thug music to date. and its a lot more restrained/fine tuned than his previous s--- (where the intrigue came from how unpredictable he used to be).

the song writing on im up is real tight on thug's end.

his absolute best rapping though is on Slime Season 1 and the collab mixtape with rich homie quan and birdman called Tha Tour: pt. 1 (which is a certified classic and probably his best project).
