willing to make a 10-track starter kit for thug for anyone with an open enough mind to give it a try/post their thoughts.

will mostly be the recent thug-gate leaks so that the content is not only new, but non mixtape/album/project related for the most part so you have more to look for when you're a fan.

let me know if i should

Okay guys, I put some thought into this actually...but when I uploaded the tracks to mediafire Im not sure it maintained the order of the tracklists I made so Ill post them here as well.

At first I was just gonna have the part 1 to the "Loose Tracks" Edition of the Starter Kit but decided I might as well do part 1 of "Essentials" as well.

Each is only 10 songs. Would appreciate those who asked for it to drop feedback when they can tbh..on the playlists themselves as well as the tracks obviously.

Shouldnt be one bad song in the bunch.

Could easily do different 10 track editions of this when needed :jordan:

There could be a 'cooking' section and @Narsh would somehow find a way to make a thread about Thugger in it.

but...................are you being sarcastic? aside from the "that complex" part isnt what you posted actually 100% true?

doesnt he have a slang he adheres to 24/7

doesnt he have a dialect representative of his region?

dont those things make him hard to decipher at first?

    are you a moron?

also, have you ever read a book like Clockwork Orange?

Im glad :) As Ive said, his delivery, flow, execution, etc are all a big part of what make him so great. And saying he sounded like all other rappers on the radio, or his flow wasnt varied and unique, etc, was clearly just a sign of not having heard enough of his material imo.

This is a horrible way to look at things. There are multiple, ENTIRE, genres, where I can't understand the vocalist. Maybe its a foreign language, maybe it just doesnt have any vocals in general, maybe its punk, maybe its hardcore, or post-hardcore, or metal, or even certain rock acts, and countless other genres. There are rappers who are 100% clear to understand but make no sense whatsoever to me at first, like Aesop Rock.

Starting and stopping your critique of thug at "i cant understand him!" is really short-sighted.

Thug speaks in the slang he was brought up with. Hes representative of his environment, his upbringing, his culture, his friends, family, etc.

And, to be perfectly fair with you, he ISNT that hard to understand. For anyone who's put in enough time into his music to be able to make claims like you do, he should be pretty easy to understand by now.

But I'm assuming, as you've basically admitted, you really arent that well versed in his work. Just going of your pre-existing stigma.

    1. Give me more examples
    2. Wayne hasn't sounded ANYTHING like Thug does on even just Barter 6 and its 10ish tracks, let alone the HUNDREDS Thug has done since 2013. If anything, Thug 100% started out impersonating Wayne (while adding his own accent and slang to it), but has been nothing short of utterly original for a while now.
    3. Wayne's Sorry for the Wait 2 is a Young Thug karaoke tape. 100% undeniable. Wayne sees that Thug's existence allows him even more freedom with the style he originally gave birth to, and its helping him get back on his s---.

A majority of this is really just your bias -- the differences you say you can tell, are the truth lol. The similarities you think you hear in the 5 songs i posted are non-existant to inconsequential, but if you want to point them out, Im game.

How does the guy you cant even understand, has a voice like youve never heard, etc etc, sound like everyone else?

Can you see how you're confusing yourself lol? I just think you're coming at this from not having a firm grasp on the topic and trying your best to make whatever you come across fit your narrative.

Not that you're being as close minded or thickheaded as most -- youre not, and I appreciate that. But to say that Thug is biting or taking influences from "that dude who does Up On A Tuesday" is false, disingenuous, misinformed, etc.

I just dont get how on one hand you can openly admit the things you havent heard, or arent well versed in etc, but then on the other the minute you think you have a small inkling of a point, you're acting like you've stumbled upon the truth -- like with this wayne s---.

if you've barely heard thug's discog, how can you say he bites Wayne for entire songs, they're identical etc. There really isn't even a good argument to be made for that out of the songs I listed you, Take Kare included.

How can you say he sounds like everything else and then in the same breath admit you dont stay up to date or listen to "everything else." Im very confused.

Also, the "nothing you say will sway me" etc act is very tired. Rational adults can learn from others if valid points are being made.

And if they're not, rational adults can point out to each other where they're being illogical.
