an 8.3 for a record that's been universally praised with zero marketing budget is hardly "sensationalism" but continue to do you.

So universal praise is based solely on hipster blogs and select reviews now. :laff:

    Alright cool.

You had to bring Cole into this :laff:
Hiphopdx is an indication of universal praise now :laff:

Like I said to each his own.

ugh, you dolt. i said universal praise. you said pitchfork was too hipster-y. so i point out a black-owned site that likes decidedly middle-of-the-road rap. you're chasing your tail.

Oh I see why you brought that up now. That makes sense. Still don't see barter 6 getting universal praise but it's whatever.

Just so y'all know pitchfork's score of 8.4 for Barter 6 is higher than the College Dropout, The Black Album, and Get Rich or Die Tryin, which are all classics.

    Just let that marinate.

those all came out over ten years ago. none of the editors are the same. and there are like 700 words under each of those numbers. you're complaining like a ten-year-old.

I'm not complaining like a ten year old. We could go round and round forever but this is the standard pitchfork set for themselves.

Barter 6 also has higher scores than Friday Night Lights and So Far Gone (I hope this is recent enough for you) which are both considered classic mixtapes by most and earned both rappers a cult following young thug will most likely never amass.

I'm not saying all pitchfork reviews are trash but when people act like they are so great at reviews it's hilarious to me.

What does how many fans a project gets you have anything to do with its quality?

And you know every pitchfork review isn't written by the same person right?

And last question, have you even heard the project in question?
