for sure and obviously, thats why im saying this thread is pointless, its laid out to be one sided.

in this premise final laid out it doesnt matter that thug had like 80 songs come out in the past year or two all better than the last half a decade of wayne's career combined, not including the 100 or so that leaked recently.

in this thread the question is "is the 22 year old with no official album to his name at the same height as the hip hop icon who's been around for a decade plus with multiple classics"

yes, or that the people voting actually have to have heard of all of thugs/waynes main music. which for thug for sure isnt on just projects or albums.

if it's entire catalog, wayne still wins for now.

a debate my friends/colleagues and i have a lot is whether this current run of thug's is better than c2 to c3 wayne. the latter was definitely more...momentous. as much of a believer as i am in thug i'd still lean toward wayne's peak being higher. i don't know.

@Narsh wayne is definitely still better than thug if we're talking full catalogs





it's also not as easy as you're making it out to be if it's just "better rap artist." thug is one of the best writers out now, but wayne was better in that respect for a five-year stretch. in terms of pure ability, it's a toss-up if anything. not "clearly" anything.
