Sep 13, 2015 Compton. No question. I was expecting Detox. The mythical album with the greatest production and features of all-time. Instead we got Compton, literally the worst album I've ever heard in my life.
Sep 13, 2015 Earl Sweatshirt - Doris Man, I really wanted to like this album but there's some great songs but the album just has no idea what it's trying to do.
Sep 13, 2015 Cruel Summer - the first few singles came out and it seemed like the album would be awesome...I f---ing hated it.
Sep 13, 2015 I've got Arch Dogg on ignore but I'm going to assume that's in reply to him. Surely he's not still going on about it? And yeah I was going to say MMLP2 but it hasn't died down that much for me. I just consider it average I don't hate it.
Sep 13, 2015 you have such perplexingly awful taste i think it knows exactly what it's trying to do, which is to be intentionally off-putting
Sep 13, 2015 I get wanting Bangers but whats wrong with Pro Black? Would you have rathered him be Anti-Black? Or did you just mean you prefer the West coast b-----r filled narrative of GKMC over the political & personal reflections of TPAB? EDIT: And for me Encore. Three Classics in a row and he drops that? Whats so painful about it is that it had real potential, In fact take off the bad songs and replace them with the good songs he kept in the vault, plus throw in all his diss tracks on a bonus disk and boom. You have a classic. Relapse is the same. looking at some of the leaked tracks from Relapse/Relapse 2/King Mathers, there was enough material there to create a great album. Recovery I don't hate but I didn't like it either. MMLP2 is a disappointment for what it could have been. If he had done that album with The Bass Brothers and Dre instead of Rubin, It could have been something really special.
Sep 13, 2015 An album doesn't have to have one specific theme or go in one specific direction, every song on Doris was dope as s---
Sep 13, 2015 I disagree with this as well. It was simply a culmination of all the conflicting thoughts of his life at that point. Working with Tyler and trying to recapture his old life through childish odd future songs, family problems, substance abuse, depression, and hiding all his problems to still be silly ol earl we saw before the camp. It's better BECAUSE it's seemingly directionless because that's how his life was, which makes IDLSIDGO all the more fitting
Sep 13, 2015 Yeezus, MMLP2, The Growing Process, Animal Ambition(s?) are ones that come to mind recently.
Sep 13, 2015 The Game - Red Album. I remember that big thread on SL, everybody was hyped as f---. I think it has some great tracks on there, but mostly fillers. Snoop Dogg - Everything after Tha Blue Carpet Treatment G-Unit - T.O.S (Terminate On Sight) Ya Boy - Rich Rocka. Might be the biggest disappointment of them all Bone Thugs N Harmony - Uni5: The World's Enemy and The Art of War: World War III
Sep 13, 2015 I was gonna say this. RED was hyped up for years man. I was really looking forward to that album and it turned out to be a huge let down. Ricky is a great song though.
Sep 13, 2015 I have a more thorough review of the album here, which explains my thoughts on it a lot better: https://www.reddit.com/r/OFWGKTA/comments/2e3gk9/doris_one_year_later/
Sep 13, 2015 Yo deadass ive actually read this review before. I want to say i wholeheartedly disagree and think you're letting your bias get in the way of a beautifully broken record. Also pre f---ing slaps so God d--- hard f--- you for not liking it
Sep 13, 2015 It's not the worst album you've ever heard you're just saying that to get attention. I can't believe you're still going with this. Back to ignore you go.
