    The 2016 Olympic games officially kick off tonight, with the opening ceremony set to begin at 6PM EST. Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, will be the USA flag bearer. Coverage of the games will be on various networks from the NBC family.

    Use this thread to discuss all events for the 2016 games, from Bolt to Neymar to Phelps to Durant.

    I'll probably check out a few of the basketball games and the swimming/running as well. I watch a little bit of Volleyball and Badminton too.

    I'd like to watch running and swimming, and anything else I have time to. I don't have NBC but Chromecast lets you stream any Olympic event through the NBC Sports app so I'm excited about that.

    I watched the NBC Sports interview with Phelps this morning and it was kinda sad, all the s--- that went down since 2012. He's been sober since Oct '14 though so that's good. He says he's never given it 100% at any Olympics :hard:

    Been watching all day while working on freelance stuff. Saw lots of biking, 400m swimming mens/womens, now men's beach volleyball. Very entertaining. USA just beat Qatar, although those poor Qatar guys seemed pretty upset :/ Now it looks like women's indoor volleyball

    That comeback from the Campbell sisters was epic. :whew:

    I love how the Aussie commentators were calling Mack Horton humble and grounded, then not long later he goes and says it feel good to win against people on drugs. :')
