    In an interview with Montreality, Akon reveals (7 minute mark) that he had in fact passed on signing the Toronto star to his Konvict Muzik label which was even before his ‘Best I Ever Had’ days. ‘Kon explains that at that time, he didn’t look at Drizzy as a star and moreover, didn’t have the superstar qualities he possesses on this day but he doesn’t have any regrets.
