May 25, 2015 What do you guys think it is? My choice for the longest time has been Austin/Rock at WM17 and that still probably is my choice although I'm kinda sick of it at this point and thinking of choosing something else. It was such a great match though and of course the Austin heel turn siding with Vince was done perfectly as well, very hard to top this one for me since I love matches with a great story too. Another match that comes to mind is of course HBK/Taker, now most people would say their match at WM25 was better, but I'm biased since I was at WM26 and actually prefer that one. Plus more was on the line, it was streak vs. career so you knew something big had to happen either way. I think people just prefer the first one cuz it was first.. Austin/Bret is of course another good choice but that was before I started watching.
May 25, 2015 Can't speak on the best as I've only seen 10-31, but Austin/Bret, Bret/Shawn, and Shawn/Taker WM25 are my favorites. Cena/HBK and Foley/Edge up there too.
May 25, 2015 I was at Cena/HBK but the problem with that match is imo they had a better one on raw a couple months later, I remember it lasted like an hour and it was a classic. But yeah the Mania match was still quite good, was really hoping HBK would have won. Great choice on Foley/Edge, love that match.
May 25, 2015 Yeah, I think Cena's matches against Punk and HBK were both better on Raw than they were at Mania and Money In the Bank. Still a stand out to me though considering my hype surrounding the match at the time. Also wish Cena dropped the title, but looking back it did make sense considering where both of their careers were. Even more so now considering that HBK didn't really want another run. Makes me appreciate it more now.
May 25, 2015 You were at Mania 26??? That's f---ing awesome dude... You got to see Shawn Michaels live in his last (and arguably best) match. d---.
May 25, 2015 h--- yeah man it was great, I also got to go to raw the next night where he gave his retirement speech, it was quite the moment.
May 25, 2015 Respect. 2 of the most iconic moments in wrestling history. I will always regret not being able to witness Mr. Wrestlemania do his thing (live) before he retired
May 25, 2015 My personal favorite is Chris Benoit vs. HHH vs. HBK. It was the first time in which I didn't care who won because I loved all three of them.
May 25, 2015 Gotta go with Austin/Rock at WM 17 as well as Taker/HBK from WM25. I'd also put the HHH/Taker HIAC match on there.
May 25, 2015 I wouldn't be as excited about it as most people, but still would look forward to it. I'd be really shocked if they don't do it and I think it's already in the plans cuz if not they would have done it this year. No way they have Sting/Taker on the same Mania card but not wrestle if they didn't already have a future plan for them to have a match. Think they saved it for WM32 cuz it'll be in front of 100,000 plus people.
May 25, 2015 Huh? No idea, I don't remember the match too well. It's just a joke referring to how WWE tries to ignore Benoit and any history with him in it. Can't really blame WWE for it though tbh.
May 25, 2015 Yeah that moment was pretty surreal. It was way too serious for them to put it in the show. Like when Eddie died they dedicated a whole show to him. All of those flying headbutts f----- up his mental state.
May 26, 2015 sure it wold have been a much better match in there prime but the fact it could happen. is very exciting imo
