Someone brought up a good point, and it's one I'd been thinking about for a bit now:

For the and maybe others if desired, what about adding the ability to have thread title "flair" similar to what certain sections of reddit have for you to use when you submit a post? And then on top of that, we could have thread titling guidelines to help people keep things uniform and easier to browse.

Example of this on reddit:

And here's how I think it could work for the Creative SXN:

Say for example I want to post my next EP, The Autumn Storm once it releases. I go to make a thread, and in the process I can choose from multiple "flair" options like "EP" "LP" "Art" "Song" "Artist" (for artist threads) "Lyrics" etc.. I choose "EP". I then title my thread following these example guidelines for music posting:

Title - Artist [Genre]

The result suddenly transforms the CreativeSXN into something like this:

The Autumn Storm - Cyreides [Ambient/Electronic/Hip Hop]
Dirty Money - SIMHA [Hip Hop]
Darkest Place - Somerandomexampleguy [Oil Painting]
Embrace The Strange - Celtique [Noir/Hip Hop]
N9NETY 5IVE 8IGHTY 3HREE - LasiK [Hip Hop]
It's not perfect, and everyone won't always follow it, but it looks much better than this:

Back on SL there was an option in the request section to have the thread start with "REQ:" by default. I wonder if there is a system that could be implemented like that here?

If not, we could just create a guideline and edit titles if anyone slips up.

I know I don't have the power anymore, but I'm down to flag any of the threads that I come across with a report that has a Guideline approved title, as I view every single thread that gets posted in Creative every day.

I suggest we have a player that goes on the bottom of the section that plays GOOD creative music...

Actually this is a good idea all around. Have people send in songs to put on and sorta have it like a radio station.

It wouldn't be hard to embed a soundcloud playlist on a month to month basis tbh. End of each month we could pick a handful of the best music to come out of the creative section.

There's been some talk in the past about maybe doing a podcast. Maybe we could integrate some radio-type segments to the playlist. Discussion stuff.

I remember when I suggested prefixes/flairs for the whole forum but it was rejected. Perhaps @Koolo and @Saladin could implement it only for this sxn.

It may not be as much of a necessary thing in other forums, but it would do wonders for the CreativeSXN. I'd definitely say it's needed in this case.
