I think when drake came out the labels encouraged him to make more r&b and emotional music so that he is marketable towards females. This is one of the reasons why drake is so much more popular than other rappers.he has a large female fan base and we all know women especially young woman are very loyal fans and will keep supporting him The reason why I say his music doesn't reflect his persona is because the way he acts with women in his personal life. He hasn't been in a long term relationship and the women he dates are always famous celbrities. I also think that if someone was as emotional as the image he portrays in relationships he would pick normal loyal girls rather than the many strippers/pornstars he dates.
