Jul 15, 2015 Sometimes he does it because he can't flow with a beat, and they're like millisecond pauses. Those s---, but I'm referring to when he says a corny a---/lame a--- line and pauses the track for a second because he thinks it is clever or something. These severely disrupt the overall flow of the song and just sound f---ing horrible. Who the f--- is letting him do this s---?
Jul 15, 2015 I agree, it's very annoying. He doesn't need to do that. In fact he doesn't need to a lot of stuff that he does that kills his flow tbh, if he stopped with all the special effects (no pun intended) then he could flow for days.

One of His biggest trait was his flow and how fast he could spit, nowadays every single time he raps he pauses for effect in the wrong spots and otherwise chops up his flows for no reason. It doesn't sound good. He raps like Christopher walken talks, and there were a few instances on shady xv where you could hear that the engineers had to edit his vocals just to fit the bar because he was so off and choppy
Jul 15, 2015 False, there are plenty of times in rap songs where a pause after a sick a--- line make it even better because you just sit there stunned for a second and get to digest it. Eminem just never does it justice
