Apr 21, 2015 Is this one of the most underrated Eminem songs, post hiatus? Listened to this the other day for the first time in about 3 years and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was, or am I exaggerating here? Never seen it get too much love http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/singles/id.13263/title.eminem-f-jazmine-sullivan-cocaine Couldn't find a decent youtube link anywhere, but this >>>>>>>2013-present Eminem, no contest for me. His voice is on point here, doesn't sound corny or robotic at all. Beat is smooth as f--- and his flow is much better on this, you can actually understand what is being said, sounds more effortless too. Kinda Recovery-esque, but sonically a lot more pleasing than anything he's put out in the last 2 years. Thoughts?
Apr 21, 2015 Clearly in the transition between Relapse and Recovery. Smooth flow, but no excessive shouting.
Apr 21, 2015 It was in the period of relapse possibly, the flow reminds me of Careful What You Wish For.. Just imagine this Eminem on the relapse beats
Apr 21, 2015 Eminem will never go back to an older style, he will test new flows and everyone will complain about the fact he tries new things instead of always making the same songs
Apr 21, 2015 I miss when I was able to understand every word in an Eminem song without looking up the lyrics on Rap Genius.
Apr 21, 2015 "Cocaine" >>>>> all other leaks aside save "Difficult" #Melatonin He definitely does need to go back to this style; unfortunately it apparently was recorded sometime before 2010 which is a substantial amount of time ago... I can't stand his recent choppy flow it makes me want to rage w/uncontrollable chehahcheahcheahcheahcheahcheahchaehcheahchdeahhceha
Apr 21, 2015 Or maybe you could accept that if an artist never grew then they'd get boring and irrelevant (cough cough DMX) so stfu and hope for something new.
Apr 21, 2015 d--- forgot how good this song was, thanks lol. Hate how this guy got back on track late 09 to 2011, then declined again in 2012 and on
