Sep 1, 2015 IDK how yall feel. But too me, Recovery is one of Ems best albums. HTS is a f---ing masterpiece. Shady Records 2 had hype thanks to Slaughterhouses last project & Yelas last project both being dope, Shady 2.0 (song) was amazing. Also Eminem was EVERYWHERE collabing with Ti, Lil Wayne, Pink, rihanna, Drake and each of his verses he killed. Eminem was on top of the world again thanks to Recovery and then continued his stride with his features/BME project and such. pointless thread tho
Sep 1, 2015 Compared to now definitely. Weird the second you posted this thread I had decided to bump some recovery on my cigarette break.
Sep 1, 2015 Totally agree. He was ontop of his game in 2010-11, it was definitely his peak post-hiatus. But then things started going downhill in 2012 with the Yelawolf/Slaughterhouse albums and some pretty bad features which led to the disappointment of MMLP2. He seems back on track now though with his recent material.
Sep 1, 2015 2010 was great year for EM. Easily his best year since his comeback. Recovery was a great album for what it is. He looked sharp in interviews and they were a lot more interesting than they are nowadays. He just seemed like a different dude tbh. And we can't forget about all those great features. In 2010 he did amazing on Forever, Airplanes P2 and Where i'm At. He seems to have gone back downhill since then. I honestly think 2010 Eminem was the best EM we had since his prime years and that it's the best we will ever get from him.
Sep 1, 2015 Agreed with everything except that last line. I think what he is doing now is the worst we've seen from him since he came back. Lately his flow has been atrocious and his songs just have no appeal to them. He is completely out of touch with how a beat and vocals should be put together in a melodic way. His delivery sounds so off it's not even funny. I'm sure even he is aware of it at this point.
