Ive noticed a lot of people praising Fine Line and I really don't get it

Yea it has good lyrics and the production is ok but the delivery & flow is terrible

When he goes from talking softly to randomly shouting makes it hard to understand or enjoy.

It's only overrated because it's the best song on Shady XV.

It's a good song, especially for modern day Eminem. Overrated by people who call it a classic though (I did at first as well)

Fine line wasn't the only stand out track on the record, Psychopath Killer was decent. ShadyXV was good. GoF was a quality inspirational track for a wide audience. As a label sampler, the album was pretty good imo. Eminem's parts i think just kind of went over a lot of people's heads because of his flow. His flow was, from a technical standpoint, on a completely other level. And also, Fine Line isn't overrated (accept maybe the 1st verse). The 2nd and 3rd verses are very well written and flow nicely with the production (from tone to subject matter). The bridge was pretty good too.

I agree, i dont f--- with the beat and the flow of Eminem in the track is annoying imo

Also i feel like Eminem didn't displayed so well his emotions on the song. The writting is not bad but the track could be something a lot better than the final result.

His concentration on his flow is ruining potential good tracks, he is starting to sound robotic
Psychopath Killer would of been a standout track if Eminems flow was different

    Fine Line is over underrated.
One of the best songs in SHADYXV with Psychopath Killer. I am saying it literally no pun intended.
The concept is good, d---. Remember the 1st time listening Fine Line and I was thinking of his fame his legacy and all the up and downs in his career. It was such a great experience.
His second verse is by far the best, godly verse even though at first I'd definitely chose the third verse with Outsidaz shout out,the vivid picture he painted in my head but it seems like at the time, I was overwhelmed and overreacting with it. His flow in this verse was a bit unnatural. But I still like it.
The sample is good with catchy chorus though it was hard to few ears.
Em's production is his best in this song imo. Ok Em's beat is Right for me is the best as well. Em's beat in Fine Line is quite unique to me. It reminds me of 2002 era beats. Maybe because of the beats sample of Fine Line and Sing For The Moment I guess.
What else, Awkk. The psychopath killa reference makes sense.
Overall, fine line had the classic TES quality. Solid nice song. 8.5/10
And definitely it was underrated as f--- because it was on SHADYXV.
