Mar 13, 2015 This is my favourite part: "If section.80 set the stage for the story of Kendrick’s life on good kid, m.A.A.d city, then To p---- A Butterfly shifts focus to Kendrick’s place the macro. It feels like the album Kendrick wanted to make all along, but didn’t have the means or words to do it yet: he had to tell his story before he could move on to the bigger picture." the way he crafted his first albums in order to lead to something bigger is very smart (and obviously well executed; I listened to both S80 and GKMC today and they still sound refreshing like the first time). His progress as an artist is remarkable, and I'm happy to be a fan of his from the start. Gj to everybody involved in this, it's a good decision to feature an "early access" piece in our blog. The next days until the official release will be fascinating, I'm very excited about this album.
