Dec 16, 2014 I'd check the 'what other song are you listening to right now' thread if I were you, and then wait for the 'other music' section to be created or look in the few non-hip hop threads that are already made, they're easy to find; there are countless songs that we could post here, either that will happen and you won't know what to listen to first, or the thread will be ignored because you're asking for too much lol. There are essential albums in the discographies of the Beatles, Zeppelin, the Who, Stones, Doors, Bowie, Dylan, just to name a few random rock names, then there's grunge, then there's punk, then there's r&b, then there's alternative rock, then there's indie etc etc What non-hip hop have you listened to? edit: actually this could give you some ideas, choose a few albums from these lists and get yourself started with. http://sectioneighty.com/forum/threads/your-favourite-11-albums.28302/
Dec 16, 2014 im a huge 70's rock fan. ive grown up listening to that around my dad and family but i was going for the alternative rock songs and groups more like the gorillaz, imagine dragons, the black keys or really just any music that is good and fun to listen to. i just wanted to broaden my music selection.
Dec 16, 2014 Ah that's cool, I thought that you only listened to hip-hop from the OP some personal favourite modern rock would be Arctic Monkeys, alt-J, Cage the Elephant, The National, Spoon, Modest Mouse, Phoenix, the Strokes, White Stripes, Arcade Fire etc Radiohead top5 band ofc I think that's enough for now
