Not looking to spend $200 on headphones. any suggestions? something that's relatively decent in sound that doesn't cost a whole lot. my headphones just a seconds ago decided to cut out and stop working (the left ear) and I can't stand listening to anything with only one ear so I need new headphones asap.

I'm the same way. In fact, I'm more proud of the 7 new bookshelves I had to get installed to hold 2000 new books I bought.

I'd go with Skullcandy. (Shouldn't this thread be in the Gaming & Tech section though?)

ATH-M50x if you're looking for a closed, noise-cancelling, mostly nuetral sound slightly leaned toward high and low notes. Probably best for harder edge music.
Sennheiser HD598 if you're looking for a more open, three-dimensional live-stadium-like sound with a warm airy buzzy feel to it that pays attention to middle notes.

    Both around ~$150 on Amazon.

I bought some beats the other day can't say I'm incredibly blown away by them. I mean they're good but I knew going into it that there was much better and probably cheaper at that but I don't care I thought it would be cool to have. Spent 160 and I'm more than content with them.

I have used every type of Sennheiser headphone you can think of, i would consider them the most honest sound you can get. we used Sennheiser HD 201's in the studio i used to work in, the sound you got was exactly the sound the music offered.

At home i use Sennheiser HD 205's, as i love them to death & ive used them for 6 years now & i swear by them.

Check them out online, specifically from your area as prices can vary, & you wont regret it :emoji_thumbsup:
