Aug 11, 2015 This is a beef I've known about in the back of my mind for a while but never thought a great deal about because I didn't think it was credible but after reading this article it seems a little too real. I think this Drake v Kendrick beef is gonna be the next big beef in hip-hop, Biggie v Pac style. It's been bubbling for a while and this is only the beginning. What y'all make of this s---. http://noisey.vice.com/en_uk/blog/h...nd-drake-beef-2015?utm_source=noiseytwitteruk
Aug 11, 2015 They're even the complete opposite stylistically. Deez n----s destined for beef. http://pitchfork.com/features/overt...ow-how-drake-and-kendrick-found-their-voices/
Aug 11, 2015 Atm the rap game goes Kanye > Drake = Kendrick (in terms of popularity at least) But as soon as Kanye quits the game the next two gonna be fighting it out for the top spot, it's inevitable as f--- and it's gonna be next level s---. It's also the reason no one ever tries to touch Kanye, he's unbeefable. If that pansy a--- f--- Drake really thinks he can shake Kendrick he's deluded.
Aug 11, 2015 how an earth is drake=kendrick, drake is only ahead on popularity, every other level kendrick takes it out
Aug 11, 2015 I literally said (in terms of popularity) in the post. Look at my avi, do you really think I believe Drake even comes close to Kendrick?
Aug 11, 2015 I also don't think this will happen. If that article believe that Control started this, Kendrick literally called out a dozen other artists, I'm sure it wasn't personal, in fact I would've been a compliment being mentioned (hence why Jay Electronica was mentioned).
Aug 11, 2015 ahah nah, but the king kunta ghostwriter reference is interesting, if it was meant for drake, brilliant diss verse
Aug 11, 2015 Especially when considering he dropped King Kunta months before the Meek beef Yeah but Drake has more of a right to feel more threatened by the verse than any of the other rappers since they're such close rivals. Also Drake's just insecure in general.
Aug 11, 2015 There's a lot of reaching in the article. That "started from the bottom" line kind of sounds like a shout out, but I can't deny the Darkside/Gone lines are aimed at Drake. These 2 have been doing this for years, most recently for Drake on 6pm in New York. It comes off to me as 2 guys just trying to compete and out smart the other. For everybody saying Kendrick would k--- Drake, did Kendrick even respond to Ooh k--- Em?
Aug 11, 2015 Drake is more popular than Kendrick, a lot more. He's probably tied with Kanye or ahead of him at the moment.
Aug 11, 2015 It may be the case that Kendrick is just trying to outsmart Drake and just let him subliminally know that he doesn't want beef, which is the likely reason that he didn't respond to Ooh k--- Em, but Drake is definitely narcissistic and insecure enough to beef Kendrick. Beef just isn't in Kendrick's nature, he just wants respect.
Aug 11, 2015 I think threatened is a better word than insecure. Drake feels he's #1 and doesn't want to lose that spot to anybody. Also I think like it or not, Kendrick will be in some kind of beef in the next year or so. He's been in the game long enough, he's almost universally accepted as a phenomenal rapper, so it's only a matter of time before someone comes at him, I'm just not sure it will be Drake.
Aug 12, 2015 whatever comes out from this it should be interesting since they're both such big characters
Aug 12, 2015 Well if a Kendrick vs Drake beef happens it's going to be interesting what the out come will be. Honestly I think Kendrick has the better skills imo when it comes to writing and rapping. However both have such a HUGE fanbase that i'm curious who will suffer the most at the end.
