I'm not computer illiterate, but I was wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for good programs, that are low on computer resources?

    DVD Burning Software

stuff like that, it was meant to be general though, I'm trying to run my computer with the lightest programs possible.

Avira anti-virus. It's free (you can pay for a different version) but it does the trick

CCleaner/Glary Utilities for cleaning up cookies, temp files and other stuff that takes up space. I use the two as one finds stuff the other can't. Both also fix any problems you might have

I would suggest to install a Linux distro (for example, Xubuntu 14.04 LST or Linux Mint 17.2), and have 2 OS's. You make music, right? Use Windows for that and Linux for everything else like web browsing and stuff.

I was seriously considering that, I even tried it.. I tried to install Ubuntu the other day, but for some reason.. I don't think I can dual boot with Windows 10, unless I'm doing something wrong

I suggest you to not install the normal version of Ubuntu cuz it's even slower than Windows doe it consumes less ram. Install one of the distros I just gave you.

Also, the installer is pretty easy... I don't see what's the problem. But if that's the case check these videos:

(Don't worry the installers of Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Linux Mint are all the same)

If you have UEFI remember to enter to the BIOS and disable it (the UEFI) to use Linux. If you don't have UEFI you don't need to do anything.
