When Kendrick did the phone bit I was like :woodson:

And aside from a few corny jokes (you want an intimate date, I wanna INTIMIDATE), Eminem's verses were great. Specifically the last one. Not the BIGGEST fan of the beat but it's not awful.

I think was disappointed most people was that it wasn't anything like people had thought it'd be. I, for example, thought it would've been something like "Rap Game", or some back and forth s--- between the two.

Regardless, it's probably one of my most played MMLP2 tracks

Massive disappointment. If you say otherwise you're lying.

Eminem and Kendrick on a song together and this is the best they could do? Not having that

How the f--- is the intimate date line corny? I swear the term "corny" is thrown around far too much in these forums. That line was a crisp and coherent use of homophones. That line worked with the verse conceptually as well. From a writer's perspective, this little moment in the verse was golden and very well executed. From a technical standpoint, Eminem's display on this track completely outclassed Kendrick's. If we look at the wordplay, Eminem again outclassed Kendrick. From a conceptual standpoint, Eminem again outclassed Kendrick. Delivery wise too; try standing in front of a mic and actually twisting your voice around to produce a third verse like Eminem's (he maintained coherence, pronunciation, rhythm, etc. all with multisyllabic rhymes throughout + inventive wordplay). People saying Kendrick sh---ed on Em in this are not paying attention and are letting favoritism cloud their judgement. Like Eminem has previously alluded to, his lyrics are held under a much higher level of scrutiny than other artists. Because of this, lines/flows that are actually purposeful, inventive, or indicative of talent are overlooked or dismissed as "corny", "babble", "off topic", or "choppy". Em's verses on Love Game were literally like the SSLP (as the world turns) on steroids in terms of concept and storyline. In my opinion, a Kendrick feature was inappropriate for this track. They probably just put him on it for marketing purposes to build hype around the album. If Love Game was a solo Eminem track, it would've been 10/10.

okay cool. I was just stating my opinion homie. if you think it was a great use of homophones, that's good on you :emoji_thumbsup: but I wasn't a huge fan of the line, that's all

As soon as the song starts, I want to turn it off. I honestly never liked the song, it's just a cluster-f--- of noise to me. MMLP2 has better songs imo.

This track grew on me... At first (like everyone else) I figured it'd be a back and forth crazy song but I can dig the direction they took it. Anyone saying Kendrick's verse is touching Marshalls second is a f---ing liar too haha he destroyed that s---. That's what's frustrating about em is that peak to peak ability it couldn't be more clear that he's the best to ever do it. He just has so many unnecessary lows in his career
