Does he influence him on musical or editorial directions ? I've read some contradictional statements from Paul about this, like: "I realized a long time ago that I don't belong in the studio, I just let him do. My place is outside". "If somebody sends me a beat without drums, I don't even make an effort to suggest it to Em" "At this point, I can't get fired". I know he's the president of Shady Records. Further more, Do you think Paul is positive or negative for Em ? We all know, Em has trust issues, so it prolly would be hard for him to adapt to another manager. Also : How much artistical freedom do you think Em has on Interscope ? Considering his status, his relationship wih Dre and Jimmy and him proving that he's a selling machine, you would think a lot but is that really correct ? Or is he forced ( or advised ) to get that Rihanna hook ? I've heard that Em likes to get hooks and write to them nowadays. Offtopic : Paul's net worth seems to be like 90 millions, Em's is 200 mill. How did Paul do that just by being a manager ? He made more dough than sb like Lil Wayne. And Em's record sales mostly go to Interscope, he doesn't do many business ventures like other Rappers.
Nov 27, 2015 Em has all the freedom he wants simply because it'd sell more than other Interscope artists no matter what he releases under the name of Eminem with a proper promotion. As for Paul, I don't think any negatives of it for Em. He can actually say something sucks when he thinks that way simply because he can't be fired and he is Eminem's friend. Of course, Interscope etc. give advices to him but I really believe he is completely free to take it or not. he is the biggest company guy and actually Shady Records doesn't need Interscope nor Aftermath in order to make music. Shady has always been bigger than Aftermath I guess.

Hes just a friend who may suggest a few things here or their. IDK WHY people think Paul is the cause of the more poppy sound? Like.. Paul grew up in the Hip Hop Shop tooo.. so Im sure he loves that kind of sound/music as well.

Nov 27, 2015 I don't think Paul is to blame for the drop off in Em's music, at the same time he's just one of the many yes men that Em surrounds himself with. With that being said, Eminem is the highest selling rapper of all time and one of the most successful artists in music period. I highly doubt Paul, Jimmy or anyone at interscope is pushing Em to collab with certain people or not work with others, he's going to sell regardless. That's all they care about. He's just their cash cow at this point.

Nov 28, 2015 Paul probably screws Eminem with money. How is a manager worth 90 million? The other artists he manages aren't nearly as big so i don't see that as a reason. EM must let his team take care and manage everything for him. I remember that 60 minutes interview where he said he called his manager to see if he could buy a 100$ watch.
