Pirates jump out to an early 3-0 lead and hold onto it into the 7th. Definitely best team they had in a while.

Yeah just alright for once. Consistent at making contact, but yeah they have to score in the first few innings and get ahead or they usually don’t come back. They still need ace pitcher or a few better than Mitch Keller. Jared Jones was kind of surprising and can get better yet.

Not sold on Skenes tbh. Even when went to watch him a few times in the AAA, once they read his fastball he ended up getting knocked out of the game 3rd inning. He needs more consistent breaking pitches. He uses one curve and thinks he’ll just gas balls by mlb players he’ll get a reality check quick.

Skenes with 11 strikeouts, a no hitter yesterday. Once he was dotting the slider, it had the batters all out of rhythm. If he can keep throwing breaking pitches like that, he could be nasty.

Was watching Yankees vs white sox. Stanton crushed a pitch for a homer. A couple HR’s being in lead. He’s one I always thought would breakout or continue to breakout. Did get hurt a few times. Henderson leading the league so far is surprising.

Naw pirates are giving out contracts now after getting some young talent, worth building on. Not giving him away.

I do think Suwinski and a prospect for Stanton would be a fair trade. Suwinski has the potential to build into a better Stanton. On the video game his bat against righties was deadly.

It’s looking like in 25 I’d be able to move to NY full time (if concrete business keeps expanding n paying Mexicans to rake concrete while I watch). Well maybe in Brooklyn for cheaper rent, I could afford to live in Manhattan, but too many feds and I want in a semi shady area. But once I’m a full time NY resident, I should technically be a Yankees fan and people there would expect me to be. People like @Worm would have to learn to respect my home team.

Nah. He’s slightly overrated imo. I want a Randy Johnson rookie card. When I use him on mlb the show, I’m nasty with him. After you f----- me over on the Mexican zans, you owe me something when I’m in NY. I’ll still boo Cole and get tickets where he warms up so I can talk s---. Dislike him for personal reasons.

Anyways, Jared Jones made some history yesterday. Gave up 0 runs against the dodgers. Jones even struck Ohtani out, not like they walked him. Little worried dodgers will be ready for Skenes fastball.

Hitting 97 isn’t anything great. I could if I never broke my throwing arm in football camp, I think. What is great is the pirates smashing the Dodgers. Couldn’t touch Jones yesterday and struggling with Skenes and pirates batting hit after hit.

12 strikeouts in a game, a home run, player of the week, made the newspaper. It may have been against the worst team in the local area, but no one else did that. Should have seen my knuckle curve I was working on before the arm couldn’t throw it to first anymore without extreme pain.
