May 6, 2026 at 1:15 PM Her latest album, Radical Optimism isn't as good but has some gems like this one:
May 6, 2026 at 1:33 PM h--- yeah that album bangs. My contractually mandated recommendation is After Laughter by Paramore, but one that I'd actually want more people to be aware of is What's Your Pleasure? By Jessie Ware. Genuinely incredible modern disco record, her album after that That Feels Good! Is also great
May 6, 2026 at 1:36 PM This album not immediately being better than Future Nostalgia with Kevin Parker production should've been proof that Tame Impala was gonna fall off
May 6, 2026 at 1:37 PM If's funny because altough its only a few years old that really sounds like its recorded in the 80's/90's lmao
May 6, 2026 at 1:38 PM Tbf future nostalgia was very hard to top. But the singles alone were a lot worse imo (not bad though) Houdini, Whacha Doin and Falling Forever are the ones for me
May 6, 2026 at 2:14 PM This also came up as a top AI recommendation. If you and ChatGPT are in agreement, it’s probably worth a listen.
May 6, 2026 at 2:19 PM I kinda hoped by now you guys would have figured out Jankland is an AI account tbh
May 7, 2026 at 4:11 AM WAKE- HAIL THE SUN REVIEW Another band id never listened to before, so was excited to jump in. I love that this groups brought so many albums id never have listened to to my attention. Anyways this album is really solid, the first thing id like to say is i appreciate how consistent the sound throughout the album is. The mixing is also really good, I find sometimes with loud songs the mixing isnt good but its flawless on this album. The albums got some really emotional lyrics and some of the hooks on here are really good. My favorite songs are: Human Target Practice, Black Serotonin and Missed Injections. Score: 7.5/10 @AOTWClub

May 7, 2026 at 8:02 PM Hail The Sun - Wake review Okay so before I get into this let me just say that I plan on doing a track by track for this one but will write a general review so it can be tallied on time. I would’ve done it the way I intended but I got f---ing hammered and can barely keep my eyes open while typing this lol. Will update this review in a few days with more detailed thoughts! I honestly really liked this album! As I said last week, the drums on here were the first thing to grab me. They really are excellent from start to finish and are responsible for blessing my ears with a burst of energy they’d been missing due to me listening to the same 5 folksy albums lately. The vocals did take me a bit to warm up to but I learned to appreciate them rather quickly. I think it was yeez who mentioned the fantastic ‘mellower’ moments on this record, and I have to agree that those left me fiending for more. I wish they’d explored that sound a bit more because it is very well executed (although that could be due to the contrast that’s achieved through the juxtaposition with the rest of the album that is pretty abrasive). Even though I shouted out the more mellow parts of the album, I also absolutely loved the heavier stuff too! Tons of moments on here had me banging my head along to them. Before I wrap this up (for now), I’ll also mention the impressive song structures all over. The tracks are very well crafted, they keep you guessing about where each song will go next, and the deep, existential lyricism does wonders to amplify that further. I really, really enjoyed this pick! Thanks for putting me on @jankland . 9/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
May 7, 2026 at 10:08 PM That's my goat doing the jank patented buzzer beater review. Am excited to see the track by track thoughts, glad you enjoyed it so much!
