Best album of the year so far.
But also one of the only new albums I've listened to.
I'm in my old head era.

I took a listen to this and it’s a lot better than his last album. The experimental alternative on this record was refreshing.

I loved the house is burning, but let the features mostly take centre stage on that project. This one is all about zay.

Yeip but there's actually some fire gay bars on this album.

"f---ing on her and her and him, f---ing on your momma"

Sounds too gay for my liking but if that's your thing brother, I'm not here to hate.

    He's a decent rapper NGL

Those first four tracks had me worried. Those are easily the worst Isaiah Rashad songs I’ve ever heard. Thankfully the album gets good starting with “SUPAFICIAL”. I don’t have a lot of issues with the album after that.

Although, “719 FREESTYLE” doesn’t feel like a final track to me at all. While listening to this album I was on the treadmill not paying attention to the track listing and legitimately surprised it ended there. I like the song but it felt like the album ended as it was picking up some real steam.

I gotta say though, nothing on here really wowed me. While it’s kinda a decent album it’s also disappointing. I was expecting better than this, especially after 5 years. This gotta be his worst album yet. I’m giving it a 6/10 for now. Maybe if it grows on me it’ll be a 7/10 but for now it’ll have to be a 6.

I also feel though, Zay's projects always require some time for you to sit with it and digest his messaging and conveying of his current stage of life. Cilvia Demo was an instant classic, but TST and THIB weren't wowing listeners outside of his core audience like that and it took a while for people to warm up to it.

That is to say, I think give it a few more spins to see if it resonates.
