May 13, 2026 at 1:57 PM Since Iceman is dropping friday, I think it'd be interesting to see how posters look back on the beef since we're basically 2 years removed from its events Personally, my opinion has changed quite a bit. Prior to the battle, I was a pretty big Kendrick fan, and a decently big Drake fan (His run from SFG - IYRTITL is peak imo, but I'm pretty mixed after that), so naturally, I was mostly on Kendrick's side from the beginning. I think the beef gave us lots of great tracks from all sides, and you could honestly make a really good mixtape compiling all of them. In the direct aftermath, I shared the popular opinion: Kendrick decisively won with MTG, and Not Like Us was a true victory lap. THP6 was a shockingly r-----ed move from Drake, and the lawsuits made him an even bigger loser. The Pop Out concert, NLU video, the GNX release, and the Super Bowl performance were really cool as well. Nowadays though? I'm pretty mixed. I would still call myself a bigger Kendrick fan than a Drake fan, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't find a lot of reactions to the beef a bit corny. I admit that a big part of this has to be due to the new-ish Kendrick fans that have cropped up (the "MUSTARDDDD" and "THEY NOT LIKE US" people to be specific). This isn't really Kendrick's fault admittedly, but seeing s--- like this is d--- near r/Eminem levels of cringe On the Drake side, It's just been a marathon of lameness. SSS$U was mid aside from Nokia, and aside from What Did I Miss, none of the ICEMAN singles have done much for me. I know this might be VERYY unpopular, but I'll be glad to hear people's thoughts
May 13, 2026 at 2:55 PM Co sign tbh. Happy to see more people that aren't so one sided lol The Drake thread has like a 100 pages mainly Kendrick stans talking s--- about Drake. Whereas no Drake fan has entered the Kendrick thread to do that. So by that standard I think the Kendrick stans were (to an extent) even bigger losers lol. As far as the beef goes; also agree. It was a great run and a few exciting weeks! Both had great tracks. To be clear, Kendrick absolutely won and I grew to like him more after the beef (GNX is dope). Basically it made me like both a bit more lol. Drake I also gained a little more respect that he actually went with it. But that last beef song s----d and the songs after it were also very lame and/or boring. So he has to come through! Conclusion; a great run and a lot of fun. Still play all of the songs except maybe MTG and the last one from Drake.
May 13, 2026 at 3:17 PM Drake had better songs, Kendrick dropped a hit using fake info The intersting part is that Kendrick's song didn't affect Hip Hop at all or even the West cause rap has been so dead for the last year
May 13, 2026 at 4:28 PM Everyone already knows my thoughts on this. No, my thoughts have not changed one bit. If anything, all my thoughts get confirmed to me more and more as time goes on. But honestly I’m not sure I care enough about this topic anymore to go on a full-blown rant like I used to.
May 13, 2026 at 4:35 PM It was all fun and games till you put someone’s kids in it. It ain’t rap no more, this s--- went way beyond some jay z and Nas s---.
May 13, 2026 at 4:54 PM It has Which One, and Doghouse. Im not sure if Somebody Loves Me Pt. 2 counts
May 13, 2026 at 5:52 PM I will say both Drake and Kendrick fans have been insufferable ever since. Most of them are no different than k pop Stans. Sometimes I can’t even go on Twitter without seeing Drake fans whining about Kendrick or vice versa. It’s been 2 years man some of these MFers need to get over it. They out here still acting like it just happened. It’s probably going to get worse once Iceman drops.
