May 19, 2026 at 12:01 AM Almost halfway through the year I figure I'd ask what EP's/albums you guys have been listening to or enjoyed a lot. Literally any genre, I want to see if I missed anything worth checking!

May 19, 2026 at 12:26 AM This year has been kinda a--- tbh. I been listening to older music mostly. Even my daily playlist don’t have anything from 2026. Apple Music says my latest download was October 2025. lol
May 19, 2026 at 12:28 AM That's my goat, glad to see PO2 getting love. Forgot I haven't actually spun Wuthering Heights, Bloodluxe or God Save The Three all the way through yet. And I forgot about the Momo Boyd album I gotta peep!
May 19, 2026 at 1:16 AM They’re so good it’s actually insane. Amazing chemistry between the two. Absolute ear candy. It goes hard af and there’s some real innovation going on there. Both projects have some country songs and I surprisingly enjoy them quite a bit. Glaive and Momo Boyd are starting to get me to like country this is crazy
May 19, 2026 at 2:05 AM I think I’m just gonna accept that my music taste is no longer what’s popping now. My favorite rappers are all over 35, and my favorite pop stars peaked like over a decade ago. Lol I notice this trend with my friends too, and just what’s popular now. The charts are all fueled with old songs from decades ago. Only 1 song in the top 10 is even from 2026. I mostly use Spotify for streaming what’s current, but Apple Music is where my main faves playlist and streaming comes from. Maybe it’s just getting older you get more comfortable with familiarity and don’t check out new stuff like you once did.
May 19, 2026 at 2:09 AM I mean if you ever are interested in finding new stuff there's always music aggregate sites. A bunch of mainstream music is extremely boring or unappealing to me aside from a select few so I always dig for who's bubbling up instead.
May 19, 2026 at 3:31 AM g.d. I honestly don't have (or make) time to listen to all those new albums anymore. I do check the new singles/songs on Spotify every friday and if there's anything I like I check out the albums. And of course the AOTW ones which is f---ing great getting new -as in, never heard- stuff almost every week. For example after hearing the Usher collab I checked Kehlani's album. Glad I did! And I also liked Casino by BK. The songs Zara dropped didn't impress me so far (except the hot video's lmao.. sounding like Marsh I know) but seeing it on a list I might check it out anyway. Iceman is in heavy rotation right now. I guess I'm also more of a song guy still over an album guy. Plenty of 2026 songs on heavy rotation. Sorry @jankland gonna steal this idea for another thread
May 19, 2026 at 5:30 AM Blue & Exile - Time Heals Everything Isaiah Rashad - it's been Awful Action Bronson - Planet Frog Trash year rap wise
May 19, 2026 at 11:05 AM What really helps me is I work out for 2 hours nearly every day so I have plenty of time to listen to new albums during that time
May 19, 2026 at 11:16 AM This post was just a set up to tell us you work out 2 hours every day wasn't it?? When I go for a run I also listen to music but usually a playlist with some bangers. Sometimes I do listen to new albums at the office though. It also helps that friday is my day off from work (aside from the weekend) so when something drops I wanna hear I can listen immediately!
May 19, 2026 at 11:22 AM Yeah honestly I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to brag about it. Been improving my health a lot lately Same but sometimes I get bored of playlists lol Friday is definitely one of the best days to have off. Either that or Saturday
May 19, 2026 at 11:26 AM I feel you. Been doing sports a lot more since a year ago and I sleep better, lost weight, hardly ever tired etc. Makes u feel better overal! Agree. I always have weekends off though but I work 4 x 9 hours (monday - thursday) while most people work 5 days 7.5 hours lmao I rather have little longer workdays and a long weekend
May 19, 2026 at 11:42 AM In terms of rap I've been hearing good things about the Kenny Mason and Deante Hitchcock records but still gotta listen
