May 25, 2026 at 12:09 AM Honestly, haven’t been listening to a whole lot so what I have been consuming is pretty basic. Noah Kahan - The Great Divide : Has had a lot of replay value for me. Really vibe with this album and appreciate modern folk with good writing. Baby Keem - Ca$ino : b-----r to Track ratio is high. J Cole - The Fall Off : It was bloated. But there was still a lot I ended up grabbing from the album. I liked the concept and I will probably keep a bit of these songs in rotation for a while. More than I usually do for his stuff. Denzel - Strictly 4 The Scythe : hel yea I’m not going to put Iceman as a whole, there’s too many flaws. But I can’t lie, Whisper My Name is one of my favorite songs of the year. Dust and Janice STFU are also heat. The production is immaculate. Long story short though, Drake needs to evolve as an artist (and person?) for me to really be pulled in further than scalping a few singles off each album. I’ve heard most these songs before

May 25, 2026 at 1:56 AM I haven't listened to a ton of rap this year so I can't comment, so far I enjoyed both the Isaiah Rashad and Baby Keem albums a lot, more so than Iceman but I am biased to the artists mentioned. Some more lesser known albums I need go check out though, I listed a couple earlier but I still need to bump JPEGMAFIA's album and My Ghosts Go Ghost from By Storm
May 25, 2026 at 2:08 AM Iceman is already insanely overrated. I see people calling it a 10/10. In no world is that album even close to a 10/10. The second half of the album isn’t even as good as the first half. I don’t even think I saw this much unnecessary glaze for GNX.

May 25, 2026 at 2:55 AM A lot of people are too internet brained now. They can’t have nuanced opinions anymore, it’s almost always one extreme or the other. These people use social media so much they lose sense of who they really are and basically become the persona they’ve created online.
