Jun 29, 2026 at 12:45 PM If the new consoles are gonna be $1000 there’s basically no point in buying them. Might as well just buy a gaming PC. The only thing consoles still had over PCs was that they were generally a cheap way to get into gaming. At this point, gaming is becoming a luxury.
Jun 29, 2026 at 3:01 PM And yeah there is no point in a new console. PS2 made sense since that’s when dvd players became a necessity. PS3 & PS4 had blu ray and backwards compatibility and was time for an upgrade. PS5 and future consoles need something to progress with. It’s basically nothing new but some faster processing computer s---. We reach a point where they really need to evolve.

Jun 29, 2026 at 5:24 PM f--- game cases all around, digital is perfect. You can switch games, play day one without waiting for a disc, less noise since there's no disc inside, less ugly since there's no bluray player making one side bigger than the other.
