Best about it imo is the fact that it has a few great Dre beats! Solid album, just not a huge fan of his high pitched voice lol.

Beach Chair also a nice CM collab.

Three Layers of h--- - Wreckless

I was very curious how mr hardrock was gonna do with this theme. First off, very creative the whole three layers idea!

First song is cool the singer reminds me of the new LP singer, similar raw voice. Is it a summer song to me? Nah. But I like it.

Cut back isn't really either but I did add it to my playlist right away! d--- this is nice. So catchy and again, killer voice.

Crystallize is also good. It is rock, but not the heavy kind I expected. Silver Swarm as well, but probably my least favorite from this section (still like a 7 though so doesn't mean s--- really)

However the Halestorm song is my favorite from this part! Cut Back close second. Couldn't get the hook out of my head lmao.

Try Honesty didn't do much for me.

Envious totally not expected this from you lmao. Now this is def a beachy summer song! Again, added to my playlist.

Never heard Gas Station before, s--- is so hypnotic man, props!

I remember I do know, summer night vibes. Nice.

Tell Me Why I was thinking what newer song used this, but it's that Ed Sheeran song (Habits) that has the same sample. Nothing beats the OG though.

Violet is okay, Sex & Candy is a nice relaxing song which I like. Pearl Jam song is also nice. But I have to say the last section is my least favorite. Not as in, bad songs, but not really my thing.

Man some very pleasant surprises here! Again, fun idea, and the majority of this was new to me and I liked it. Wouldn't be summer picks for me personally (except a few) but good music is good music! First 2 sections I loved though.

Favorite songs: Love Bites, Cut Back, Tell Me Why, Gas Station, I Remember.

    Part 1: 8/10
    Part 2: 9/10
    Part 3: 6.5/10

    @AOTWClub giving this a 7,8/10! Thanks Wreckless

They love lurking in here for anyone to share genuine personal experience to try and use in arguments later it's really funny. Just perpetually miserable people.

Funny thing r----- 1 calling out the site for no one having genuine conversations or making good posts anymore.

    His last thread

"When was the last time eminem didnt wear glasses"

Then some bs about him being a clone lol

Yes we all s--- as posters, yet all you do is argue and make worst posts than Marsh

    @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau

Wreckless - Three Layers of h---

I am familiar with a large chunk of the artists and a decent amount of the songs here but these are some inspired choices so im excited to get into it!

CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE is dope, i saw Ecca Vandal when she opened for Pierce The Veil and she did great. I dig how unique her voice is, it really fits the sound. Love the chunky feedback heavy guitar on this. Super catchy and a great opener!

I don't think I know Marmozets but Cut Back is f---ing dope, this is exactly my s--- dude. Love the delivery, also the swing that the drums hit in the chorus is groovy as h---. Very infectious. Some 2000s post punk energy here but a bit more abrasive, love it.

Going into Crystallize was a great transition, not familiar with Quicksand but this is also hitting exactly what i like. Idk when this song came out but it reminds me of the last hurrah of great rock music that was coming out in the mid 2000s. Very driving energy, a bit on the short side but thats not a negative it just makes me want to spin it back.

BODIES by Thornhill is a great record and Silver Swarm was one of my favorite songs on the album so im super happy to see it here. Some parts and high notes hit remind me a bit of Muse but if they decided to lean heavier in industrial and metalcore sounds. Good a--- song, recommended the album to anyone interested. They also did a weirdly pretty good cover of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga lol.

Halestorm is actually one of my female rock blindspots but Love Bites (So Do I) is dope, actually surprisingly reminds me of the good Avenged Sevenfold stuff. She has a lot of grit in her voice its super cool. This s--- rips, i gotta show my buddy this he'd love it. Whole band kills it.

Billy Talent is another band where I've enjoyed everything I've heard from them but I never actually sat and listened to a full record. Try Honesty is pretty d--- good, some of the way they handle the layering in the verses isn't my favorite but i got used to it and the chorus rips. The guitar riffs are quite the earworm. Bridge is particularly great too.

The three layers concept is fun and it justifies the trnasition into something more poppy, I don't think i know Aluna but Envious is kinda incredible imo. Super smooth, very summery. I adore when dance pop actually hits and this is a good example. Beat is really fun, funky but contemporary. She has a great voice for the genre.

I was absolutely not expecting a Slayyyter pick from Wreck of all people but im f---in here for it. She's dope as h--- and Gas Station is a great song. Very happy shes getting bigger, been doing cool s--- in the hyperpop adjacent community for a while now. Song itself is incredibly replayable, possibly the most hooky song so far. Her production is always top notch.

Not usually a deadmau5 guy but I Remember is pretty solid! More calming and smooth than I was expecting. This would go good in my playing braindead games while listening to music rotation. EDM with soft singing women can be a cheat code for me when done right and this is a good example! Fun surprise and gets a like from me!

Tell Me Why by Supermode is very good, the Bronski Beat sample actually works here in a way where i don't find it tacky or annoying like i do with a lot of samples that are this at the forefront. Just a solid a--- song.

And going into the last part we have Violet by Hole, you can think whatever you want about Courtney Love but she's super f---ing talented and Hole has a lot of great music. Adore her voice, song is incredible. Whole band kills it, load bearing band and album in the grunge/alt rock scene.

Sex & Candy was very overplayed in my household so I used to hate it but going back to in my own time I actually really really love this song. Just so smooth, infinitely catchy. Great melody and vocal performance, just comes across effortless in a good way. I now have quite the soft spot for this track and every handful of months it ends up getting stuck in my head and i spin it back a lot. Great addition.

I never dived into any Collective Soul besides this song but I always really liked Shine, just the kind of rock music I grew up that my family loved and help define some of my taste. Really like how smooth the transition is between the smoother prettier verses with the rougher swamp rock style guitar tone leading into the chorus. Makes the song much more addicting. Really iconic riff and its super fun when the tempo picks up. A song that spends its 5 minutes very well imo.

Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town is actually one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs! Just very smooth, super pretty in that specific way the Seattle grunge scene could only do. Eddie Vedder sounds specifically incredible here, was always a calming song for me.

Songs for the Deaf was one of the classic albums in that last hurrah of the 2000s I mentioned, great f---in album and Go With The Flow is my favorite single from the record i think. It just feels so big, so anthemic. Super fun to try and play along to on the drums. Love the vocal mixing and the guitars as well.

I've been following Dexter and The Moonrocks for a while now and while they've had little hit songs within in the scene I'm so unbelievably happy these dudes broke containment with Freakin' Out, their first gold record! They've always felt like such a natural evolution of grunge, love this song. It gets stuck in my head constantly, its pretty much perfect to me and its not even my favorite song of theirs which is a huge compliment. So glad someone threw them on a tape. Great closer man!

This is bar none my favorite tape of yours and honestly one of my favorite tapes since we started, this was a direct critical hit to my exact taste. The concept also fits my usual listening habits for how bipolar the kinds of songs i listen to back to back can be. Good s--- man, I'll be going back to this for sure!

Favorite Songs: CRUISING TO SELF SOOTHE, Cut Back, Crystallize, Silver Swarm, Envious, Gas Station, Violet, Sex & Candy, Elderly Woman, Go With The Flow, Freakin' Out
