Jul 17, 2026 at 4:45 AM h--- yeah if you don't mind found footage movies. They're all full of jump scares so they all worth watching.
Jul 17, 2026 at 4:46 AM You do have some bad recs brother You didn't like the first few? I already know that answer I think haha it's cool though
Jul 17, 2026 at 7:09 AM Paranormal Activity was pretty huge when it was released. I always compare it to the Blair Witch. It's found footage that doesn't rely on actual events/scares, but the constant possibility that something can happen all of a sudden. It scared a lot of people, seeing the tiny movements, while in reality most of the movie was just boring as f--- and nothing happened. There is however, constant tension. So if you're into that, def give it a chance @Ripper Roo make sure you do in complete darkness though. The 3rd is also kinda nice I guess (which is a prequel as well as a sequel) but more of the same. Haven't watched any after the 4th though there were some spin offs and s---. First 3 are connected. Don't remember the others having a real connection to the story though.
Jul 17, 2026 at 7:15 AM Like I said... If you like found footage you'd like the movies. A lot of people love them myself, they're like 7/10 but that's for the first 2/3.
Jul 17, 2026 at 7:24 AM I’ll probably check out Paranormal Activity eventually, maybe around the time the new one with the Undertone director comes out. Found footage is cool but I don’t have a strong opinion on it right now. I’ll put them on my list but they aren’t high priority right now. My priority right now in terms of horror is Obsession which apparently comes to Peacock today. I’ll have to check it one of these nights soon and leave a review here.
Jul 17, 2026 at 7:31 AM From what I remember about PA it started off great with the first film, but slowly declined as the films went on and started relying more on jump scares Haven’t watched one since like PA 3 came out though, remember going to cinema to see it.
