The Odyssey is one of those films you just have to see in the cinema. If you’re only going to watch one film to experience what cinema is, then this is the film. Greek mythology has always fascinated me, and The Odyssey by Homer is one of the greatest stories ever told. Add Christopher Nolan as director, it will always be class, but somehow he still managed to exceed them.

The whole Cyclops sequence is absolutely unreal. The tension is through the roof, and seeing it in IMAX makes it even more intense. The Circe scenes were brilliant too.

Robert Pattinson as Antinous completely steals every scene he’s in. He’s manipulative, arrogant and genuinely hateable in the best possible way. It’s one of my favourite villain performances since Jack Gleeson as Joffrey in Game of Thrones.

Nolan’s direction is on another level. The Trojan Horse sequence and the way the battle unfolds is honestly just great f---ing cinema and storytelling. It’s one of his best directed films and, for me. I found Tenet and Oppenheimer pretty underwhelming as films, despite both looking incredible from a visual and technical standpoint.

The only thing stopping this being a 10/10 for me is the ending. It felt a little underwhelming compared to everything that came before, and I wish it had stayed closer to Homer (way darker)

The cast is next level across the board. Anne Hathaway is fantastic, Jon Bernthal is excellent, and I genuinely think this film is obviously going to clean up any awards and rightfully so.

Overall, I’d give it a 9.5 out of 10. An absolute amazing film and one of the best cinema experiences I’ve had in years since Interstellar.

Again, what are you on about? Topless soldier? There was no topless solider in the movie. If you don’t have anything constructive to say which you never do as your brain is the size of peanut, then f--- off.

Tough one, so many great films but you can't go wrong with movies like Shawshank or gangs of New York. Two great films. You?
