Eminem ShadyXV is hated on too much

    Alright as an album each song is either alright or great. Second, its literally just a bunch of songs thrown together. ITs a shorter version of Re Up and tbh it was just over-hyped. This s--- showed improvement for EVERY Shady artist. Yelawolfs Down is one of his best songs. Eminem did AMAZING lyrically and improved with beats big time, h--- he even produced more and every song he produced was great! BME had one of their best tracks. Slaughterhouse improved and actually worked as a group it seemed like. Seriously, SHADYXV gets too much hate and i think its because it was over hyped, which is understandable.

    hmm. IDK maybe im a minority. I really enjoyed it. And I am a modern and old Eminem fan as well.

    Eminem's flow was what brought it down for me. The other shady record artists did fine imo

    No its justified. production (mixing) and his flow is horrible. sure lyrics are good but without those two main things then the whole project becomes useless

    This album is pretty awful. You know he's doing something wrong when Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse are the best parts of the album (the only song I really enjoyed was the Preemo/SH cut).

    I'm honestly dumbfounded that people think this is better than MMLP2—I know he isn't "offbeat" per se, but it sounds like his vocals were pasted over different instrumentals than he recorded his raps over. I'm not a sound engineer so I don't know the technical terms, but everything just sounds "off" sonically to me...the sound levels for the vocal and instrumental seem like they don't match. There are a couple good moments (Fine Line, the "why do I always sound like I'm grabbin' my nostrils" part), but the bad so far outweighs the good it's not even funny.

    It's not a very good album to begin with, but the poor engineering makes most of it unlistenable IMO.

    Don't even think it's hated on. No-one seemed to give a s--- about it for long. Makes sense, it's totally forgettable.

    It was an average record, I didn't expect it to amazing anyways they just wanted to throw something together to celebrate the 15 years of Shady Records.

    Why can't we all be happy we at least got something?

    I like most of it a lot! I usually skip the Yelawolf solo songs, just can't get into him. I think my top 3 are Twisted, Vegas, Guts Over Fear.
