Apr 24, 2016 Something about jailbreaking is that some apps will not run if you have a jailbroken phone. I remember when Nintendo launched their first mobile app about a month ago and people were complaining about not being able to use the app due to having a jailbroken phone. So, keep in mind that some apps may not run because of that. However, if you want a whole lot of freedom on your phone, then jailbreaking would be a decent option for you.
Apr 24, 2016 You can't have copies of an app (to the best of my knowledge). The main attraction with jailbreaking is customization (and piracy, which as an aspiring developer, I don't support). Here is a screenshot of my homescreen. It's awesome how you can theme the look of your phone. That's my main usage for jailbreaking, but there are many more things you can do or customize.
Apr 24, 2016 I always jailbreak. It's definitely worth it. And I've never encountered any of the apps not running
Apr 29, 2016 what version of iOS are you on? last i checked, if you're on anything higher than 9.0.2, then you can't jb right now. but yeah, i use it primarily for just a couple things: 1.) specify default browser to chrome. havne't used safari in ages 2.) snapchat. phantom. 3.) f.lux (no longer needed once i upgrade to the integrated fluxer 4.) free tethering of data 5.) barrel. not really needed, but a fun icon gui animation
Apr 29, 2016 if you jailbreak it you can get pretty much every app you want for free. kept my itouch jailbroken the entire time i had it for games
